Letter writing practice

In these printable pages children can trace the letters which helps with the learning process.

Have the child identify the letter on the page and ask what sound the letter makes. Point to the pictures on the page and stress the letter's sound in that word ("a-a-apple starts with a") Ask them can they think of other things around them that start with the same letter sound. Have them trace out the letters and then try a few without tracing.

Match the words and numbers

Once your child can recognise some letters and letter sounds they can begin to match words to pictures by themselves.This can give great confidence to beginner readers.
